Reading

Here I keep track of what I’m reading and what I’m planning to read. There’s more info on my Goodreads, though starting January 2026 I’m not updating it anymore.

Audiobooks

Listening to Shift by Hugh Howey. About 3 hours in now, it’s getting pretty interesting.

E-books

Still reading The Castle by Kafka on my phone. The Comfort Crisis on my tablet, though my tablet has been lingering on my desk, turned off because I haven’t been using it a lot lately. I think I’ll get a proper epub at some point and finish it on my e-reader, it’s a pretty interesting book.

On my e-reader I’m back to making steady progress on Frege Explained by Joan Weiner. I’ve also briefly switched it up by finishing “A New Tale” on my e-reader. Oh, and I read the first few chapters of Vainqueur the Dragon when my brain wasn’t feeling up to reading about Frege. I’ll probably focus on that one once I finish Frege Explained, it’s a bit on the nose but a lot of fun nevertheless. Sometimes you just want a snack and shouldn’t think too much about eating one!

Dead-tree copies

Finished Beren op de Weg, Spinsels in je Hoofd a while ago! As I predicted, there were only a few short pages left. It was a dry but good read. I think I’ll read “Het Levende Systeem” next.

Plans

These books are already in my (electronic) bookcase, and I’m actively considering to read them next. While it might take me a few years to get to them, it’s extremely rare for books to get kicked off this list.

If I have told you I am going to read a certain book, and it’s not on this list, I owe you a hot or cold beverage of your choice 😉.

Low-key to-read list

This is basically the list I look through for birthday present ideas ☺️ Many books have been on this list for years, and I’ve long forgotten the context of why I put them on the list. So please don’t draw too many conclusions from a particular book being on this list.
