A few months ago I submitted a research proposal to the [Amazon Research Awards for automated reasoning](https://www.amazon.science/research-awards/call-for-proposals/automated-reasoning-call-for-proposals-fall-2024). The award provides a Word template to write your proposal in. I tried using it for a few days in LibreOffice, but I experienced quite a bit of friction. I admit that that's most likely due to my inexperience with LibreOffice. Luckily, there is an alternative I *do* know how to use (or at least pretend to): LaTeX!

I sat down and converted the Amazon Word template to a LaTeX one. Now that the work is done and the dust has settled, I publish the template for other people to use. You can find the code [on sourcehut](https://git.sr.ht/~bobismijnnaam/amazon-research-awards-template). While the style is all Amazons', I licensed the LaTeX code under the MIT license, so you can use it freely.

Enjoy!
