Still listening to Shift by Hugh Howey, and enjoying it.
E-books
I finished Frege Explained and Vainqueur the Dragon the other day!
These two books are what you could call polar opposites; what Vainqueur
the Dragon lacked in depth, it compensated through sheer awesomeness,
enjoyment, and ease of reading. I recommend both, depending on what
you’re looking for.
I put Infinity Gate on my e-reader as well, I’ll probably start
reading that somewhere in the coming weeks. I also started re-reading A
Short History of Nearly Everything, though I’m not sure if I’ll continue
it. I just didn’t have much else available. I like reading about the
history of science though; we’ll see.
I miss not having a technical book on my e-reader, but I know I
shouldn’t make that choice lightly. So I’ll leave open that spot for
now. In the meantime, I hope to finish a dutch translation of
Meditations.
Reading The Castle by Kafka on my phone. The Comfort Crisis on my
tablet, need to move it to my e-reader soon.
Dead-tree copies
Haven’t picked up dead-tree copy again yet. Typically my e-reader is
physically more close-by, so I have a hard time picking up a physical
book. Probably either Het Levende Systeem or Babel.
Plans
These books are already in my (electronic) bookcase, and I’m actively
considering to read them next. While it might take me a few years to get
to them, it’s extremely rare for books to get kicked off this list.
