Halfway through Shift by Hugh Howey. It’s great!

E-books

I finished Infinity Gate! I liked it quite a bit, to the extent that I’ll be reading part two soon for sure, Echo of Worlds. While it does many things right, I do think it was maybe a bit slow at times. Also, the lore dumps are not really pulling their weight yet. Nevertheless, the lore dumps were interesting overall. Looking forward to what’ll happen to Hadiz and her crew in part two!

Still working on Meditations. I also found an introductory book on Donald Davidson. It was suggested to me as it’s adjacent to linguistic philosophy, which is also close to Frege’s work. The book is “Donald Davidson - A Short Introduction” by Kathrin Glüer. Still 201 pages, lol. It’s seems similarly accessible to Frege Explained, though, so I have some hope I’ll make it through.

Still reading The Castle by Kafka on my phone, The Comfort Crisis on my tablet. Still need to move it to my e-reader…

This is basically the list I look through for birthday present ideas ☺️ Though some of these books already reside in my (electronic) bookcase; I’m not very tidy with it. Many books have been on this list for years, and I’ve long forgotten the context of why I put them on there. So please don’t draw too many conclusions from a particular book being on here.
